I don’t know how fast your site loaded before, but I thought the load time was ok. You could consider an ad rotation script and cut back on the number of items in your side bar. That might help a little.

I think about the same. My internet connection is fairly fast and loading pages never seems to be a problem.

How has your server load been lately?

Better?

Here’s a good tool you can use to check your page loading speed whenever you want:
http://www.webwait.com/#www.feverishthoughts.com/

That’s showing over six seconds on page loading, which is on the slow side. You should shoot for something that loads in under 3 seconds, 1-2 if you really want to turn on first visitors (especially those on dial-up).

Hope this helps :)

I’m first time at your site so I can’t say if it’s slower or faster now, but it does take up 10 seconds to load on my DSL line. Luckily I’m using Firefox which start displaying content as soon as it’s loading so it OK for me.

It seems to be more or less the same. I always put it down to my computer.

I’m running a base DSL connection here at work and it does seem to be loading a lot faster. Usually the sidebars would load first and then it would hang for a good ten seconds or so…now the header comes up, the sidebars roll down and the content rolls right in after that, almost like it’s “flowing” in!

I am on dial up and it does seem marginally faster, it does take a long time though unfortunetly, good thing I am patient lol.

Now that I’m home on my cable connection, the right sidebar hangs on the Glam network ads for a bit.
