Lisa and I have been talking by email … that’s how I came to update my post – she asked what the explosion was and I went looking for more info. Pretty scary I’m sure.

New York is unlucky in fiction and real-life. :( I just hate that when anything like this happens, the first thing people think these days is terrorism, and people become so frightened. Let the facts come out first before you jump to conclusions, I say. Did anyone die?

Steam pipe explosions seem to be happening all the time! It must a symptom of an aging city.

Wow. I cannot believe how scary that looks. I haven’t heard a word one on our local news station, though they aren’t real great about updating. I’m sure it will be on the noon news.

It does have a familiar look to it, doesn’t it. Sad :(
