The roses, oh the roses!

Octavia Hill Rose

My roses are blooming. All of them are blooming! Come visit my backyard and smell their sweet perfume. It’s heavenly.

Three of my rose bushes are taller than I am and they are just covered with scented spring buds and blooms. It’s gorgeous! There’s white ones, pale yellow ones, rich yellow ones, pink ones, pink ones, pink ones, and red ones!

I went out and finally did some work in my garden yesterday. My back is now aching! It as nice to be surrounded by such beauty and scent. My lavender is just about ready to bloom too and I was working with it to straighten it out and the scent of lavender mingled with the beautiful rose scents. Ahhhhh! I must bottle that scent for winter!

The photo above is not this years. I did take some photos while I was out but I haven’t transfered them to my computer yet. Just wait until you see them!

Sadly I lost some roses this winter. You can find out which ones on As the Garden Grows.

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

I joined the Green Thumb but the code? It posts a blogroll, not what I expected. I thought I would have a nice graphic happening.

I joined anyway — mit der pansies.

Hi Tricia, Love roses and had a really good display this year, however they are all mushy petals on the floor at the minute, they got battered by a months worth of rain in a day. So much for global warming….

    Cheers Mark

    Lovely Roses.
I am back for Green Thumb Sunday just in case you didn’t notice, cuz I have been dry for something to post for it for a while.

I had so many flowers to show this week I didn’t name them. But my big cluster of roses in my pictures is called Charisma.

I WISH I could smell those roses. I have a couple of rosebushes, but none have much of scent. Hope your GTS was a good one!
