I need a holiday

June 8, 2007 by Tricia

LOL ok in light of what I just said below I think I’m definitely going to plan at least a weeks holiday in the near future. I really think I need a break.

Perhaps I’ll look into one of those Virgin Island yacht charters … well if I come into a lot of money maybe I will. I think it’d be too hot to go to a Caribbean island or another warm location at this time of year.

Perhaps I’ll just rent a cottage for a week in Northern Ontario. That’s more my cup of tea anyway. I haven’t been camping or canoeing in ages and I really miss doing that.

I grew up having a cottage and we went there pretty much every weekend throughout my childhood. I really miss not having a cottage to go to anymore. Hey, maybe what I should do is look into buy a cottage instead of just thinking about renting one. Yes I know cottage properties are pretty darn expensive, but this half city half country girl could sure use a place to retreat to every now and then.

Vacations are so necessary! I think someday I’d like to take a vacation from work and just stay home for a week! Sit and be a bum. LOL. I’ve been traveling too much lately for agility.

Aw come on … you’re a Postie … if you were home from work for a week wouldn’t you spend part of that time on the computer making money? LOL

    Hey Tricia,

I’m from New Zealand and am keen on holidays too. When you talk about a cottage do you mean a holiday home? In New Zealand we call it a bach. Usually by the beach, its great. A couple years back I had a great time when me and my friends went to an island bach. We made a movie, caught stingrays, went swimming and heaps of adventure.

    Thanks,

    Sarah.
