Did you see the beginning of the hockey game? (yes Ottawa lost). Alanis Morissette sang the national US and Canadian anthems before the start of game 4.
I thought it was pretty good. She has such a unique voice I was afraid she might get carried away but I liked her versions of both anthems. I think she let a little more of her personal style into the Canadian anthem, but she’s a Canadian from Ottawa so that’s allowed.
Did anyone else catch her performance?

I do like her song and voice though, so I’m sure it was a performance that could give you goose skin.

I like her one album… forgot the name of it. My husband and I listen all the time. Her 2nd album wasn’t as good. I would have liked to hear her sing the National Anthem.

She probably wasn’t comfortable with the US anthem as much as she would be with her own. Especially when you had to sing it in school every morning when we were younger.
