I didn’t even try them on!

May 15, 2007 by Tricia

Ok, we’re back from that silly doctors appointment.

It was so hot here today, that as we went back to the car after the appointment Chris and I looked at each other and we decided right then and there to go to a store and buy some summer clothes.

I’d been looking for shorts on and off for the last month or two but I hadn’t really found anything that I liked. Since it was already in the 80’s and getting hotter it was definitely time to go hunting for some cooler clothes!

We went to Winners.

You know what it’s like there. Either they have nothing that interests you, or you feel like you won the lottery. At least it’s that way for me.

Since I wasn’t feeling that well and I wanted to get back home to hopefully make a bit of money via the internet I opted to not try on any of the clothes that I picked out. Hopefully that wasn’t a huge mistake! I kept the receipt – I can always return them!

I purchased one new top, 6 pairs of shorts, 6 pairs of Capri pants and other pants, and one of those really soft fluffy house coats. Chris got four shirts and two pairs of shorts.

Why do they call shorts a pair of shorts when it’s only one item?

So uhm … the bill was pretty high! Most of the items were only $20 to $29 each, but when you purchase that many items it adds up!

Obviously I didn’t need all those pairs of shorts and pants and I fully expect that I’ll be taking some back since I didn’t bother to try them on – and still haven’t. However, since I don’t really go out shopping all that often, and since I have been looking for these items for a few months I figured I might as well pick out several of each and if they fit well and I like them, well I won’t have to buy any more this year!

Don’t ya just love a good shopping spree?

I hate shopping for cloths I can never find something I like, I’m just too picky. While reading your post I was thinking “Damn… she must have spent and bundle” and apparently you did, lol. But I’m like you I rarely buy cloths and when I do I try to go crazy so I’ll have some new stuff.

I went to Old Navy a few months ago and got in on a sale they had on tshirts, they were like 7.99 each, I bought 15 shirts at a total of around $120.00. Crazy! But so worth it.

Ha! I love shopping that way too.

My favourite place is Costco. I just grab whatever catches my fancy, try it at home and take back whatever doesn’t work out! They will accept returns with no questions asked – forever – if you can prove you bought it there ๐Ÿ™‚

Send us some of your hot weather if you aren’t enjoying it – rain is forecast for the weekend ๐Ÿ™

    i hope you’re feeling a bit better.

Shopping… yes. Phew. I’m both a bit picky AND not the ideal size obviously, having big problem when shopping to find something. So when I do, I buy a lot at the same time, because you’ll never know when I find something next time!

Though I must say, that this spring I have found a lot of clothes, and in my favorite color green too, so it’s been like heaven for me ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been shopping a bit too much, but I may end up wearing them for the next 5-10 years if it’s gonna be like it has been before….!!!
