I don’t think it’s strange at all! In fact my husband and I do the same. The wonderful gmail lets us chat while we’re at work too!

Especially for a quick check in to see how their day is going, it works wonderfully!

My husband and I keep MSN Messenger open on our laptops, so while he’s at work I can shoot him a message, like something Kaitlyn just did. He will frequently send me links to interesting news stories from CNN.com.

I also wondered if you had checked The Truth Laid Bear lately? DUDE! Would you look at where you are positioned?!!:

NUMBER FIVE!! That is AWESOME!! I was a large mammal, then I dropped down to Marauding Marsupial. I think it’s fun :)

I don’t think it’s strange either. I email Hubby things I want to remember to tell him but might forget when he gets home for work. Some times other thing are more important and the little things some times get forgotten about. This way I’m not saying oh yeah I meant to tell you.

Email is the only way we can coordinate the afternoon and evening events for our family. I cannot leave the classroom, I’m never at my desk, and only have the cell phone available for emergencies.

I check my email several times throughout the day– this is the best means of communication for us. I’ve even been asked out on a date via email since we often take a child a piece and go our separate ways in the evening.

It’s just a sign of the times girl!

Not one bit strange! It’s convenient! Especially when you’re talking about links. What else are you supposed to do? Bookmark every page and then sit him down later and say, “Here, look at everything in this bookmark folder,” haha that would get old, fast.

I’m sure people thought the same about phones back in the days so no, I don’t find it strange at all.

I email my entire family.

Well if it is odd, then I’m right there with you. my one is a techy and since he is also male he has limited ‘chat’ skills. If it’s important, the only way to effectively get the message across is to e-mail him.
I wouldn’t advise that anyone copy my pal’s method - she faxed a long letter of ‘complaint’ about their relationship to her husband at work - unfortunately it went to the central fax machine rather than the one in his office!
Cheers

I think it’s cool! My girlfriend emails me things from work all the time. I think any type of communication like that is healthy.

Crookedeyebrow - love the name by the way. LOL Yeah … but my husband and I are in the same room sometimes! LOL that’s what I think is so funny about it.

Elizabeth! Thanks for letting me know about my Truth Laid bear rating. I don’t visit the site often so it would likely have been a while until I discovered that. I have no idea how I got up that high. Isn’t it interesting that all the sites - pretty much in the top 30 are mainly PR6’s and PR7’s? I’m the lone PR5 in the top region of that list.

I wonder if Google hasn’t hit my site yet and if my PR will still go up? Oh that’d be nice!

Tricia (485 comments.) said in May 8th, 2007 at 3:48 pm

Jade yes that’s the main reason why I email Chris. It’s usually cool sites that he might be interested in visiting or perhaps hooking up with on his guitar site. The thing that I wondered about though is we are often in the same room … no more than 20 feet apart when I send him off an email. LOL

Mcewen - Ohhhh a fax that went to the whole office? She couldn’t have known when she sent it. Oh boy! LOL

Jade (14 comments.) said in May 8th, 2007 at 3:56 pm

Well okay, check out this scenario then, my old roommate and I had rooms directly across from each other. We’d sit at our computers, chatting on AIM about one thing, and talking aloud about something totally different. So no, I still don’t think I can call you weird. =)

I don’t think it’s strange at all - I think it is nice and cute. My wife and I do it all the time. In fact sometimes I work so hard in the evenings so that I forget the time. She knows that an efficient way to get my attention is to send me a mail: ‘See you in bed’ LoL
But then again we actually met on the net and since she is from US and I am from Norway, I think we are the proof of the pudding on how efficient the net actually is:-)

I sometimes feel it’s the only way to get him to listen to me ’sigh’
