Lilies are indeed very very pretty. I love that they are so big. It’s hard to not notice them :-)

I find it peculiar that our weather spell seem to accompany each other so well, despite the big distance between sweden and Canada. We’re having a cold spell here right now too! sunny, but icing cold!

I’m having spring feelings anyway :-)

On this chilly Easter weekend I’m going to be potting up canna root and other plant roots for Green Thumb Sunday.

Fabulous colour! Our lillies are just starting to peek through the ground and the dreaded lily beetle has shown its face very early here this year.

I’m seeing so many lilies and other bulbs for Green Thumb Sunday this week, but I have to say your Tiger Lily is the show-off of them all, lol! So spectacular and showy – just lovely!

Yes this lily has a spectecular colour. I can see my few lilies in the garden sprouting as well…..but the scarlet lily beetles are active as well , I found some holes in the leaves.
Happy Easter to you! Frohe Ostern

Those are so beautiful. My mother planted tiger lilies last year, so they should be coming back. The rain attacked them over the summer. She also has tons of day lilies. I think I’m going to snag a few for myself, she wouldn’t mind :-D .

Thanks for the comments! I thought that photo came out pretty nicely myself.

Sheena – Lilies are very easy to grow. Just collect some of the bulbs from your mothers garden and plant them about three or four inches apart in perhaps a circular grouping of 10 or 20 bulbs and you’ll have a nice clump of lilies in no time. Just watch for squirrels … they love to dig up bulbs or anything whenever they notice that we’ve been digging in our garden beds.
