Did you know you get a link on my site whenever you comment?

April 3, 2007 by Tricia

I installed the “Top Commentator” plugin about two weeks ago and it’s been interesting to watch my right side bar to see who the top commenters have been so far this month.

I have the plugin set to show the stop commenters for each month. On Sunday we started all over again for the first full month that I’ll have been using the top commentator plugin.

Brian took the lead in March. I wonder who will be the top commenter this month?

Hopefully you guys realize that whenever you leave a comment on one of my posts you get a free link to your site. See the “Recent Musers” list directly under any of my posts that people have left comments on? Well that too is a straight link to your site if you list your url when you leave me a comment. By straight link I mean that it doesn’t have that nasty “rel-no follow” tag in the code so the search engines will pick up your link. So everyone one wins!

Of course, every comment you leave will now count towards making the top commentator list in the right side bar as well. If you make the list you’ll have a free link for a whole month.

This is my way of thanking my readers and commenters. You’ll get a real link on my site just by interacting. So remember, if you see a post on my site that you like, or that you feel is comment worthy leave me a comment.

I certainly appreciate and enjoy your comments!

Thanks for the Do Follow Plugin advice. I added it my blog after you talked about it on the P forums.

I’m actually surprised that more people didn’t comment on this post. Well, you’re commenting on the rest so I guess the message was received. Free Links! LOL

Glad you like the plugin Lisa. There are some great plugins out there to try.

Brian – I think you’re going to have more competition this month.

    Paul – Go for it!
