The Hungry kitty

January 31, 2007 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

image

How the heck did you get in there?

Looks like kitty wanted a snack. I wonder if that meat is a kielbasa sausage? If so, that cats got good taste since that’s usually great tasting. Mmmm.

I wonder how the cat got in there without knocking anything else over.

Can you imagine if your cat jumped in the fridge like that and you didn’t realize it? I don’t open my fridge that much during the day – a bit more in the evening as I go back and forth to get some water or another type of drink, so in my house there’s a good chance that the cat would be in the fridge for a while before I found it.

Back to normal

January 31, 2007 by Tricia

Whatever that is ….

Yesterday I wrote that on Monday I practically had no pain and felt about as normal as I ever have. Unfortunately it didn’t last long. By early Tuesday morning I was waking up in pain and going on from there to have an awful day.

The only good news is that my knees haven’t bothered me too much. So shhhhhh lets not wake up whatever is causing their pain.

I’m still going to be positive about Monday. Maybe the fact that I actually had a good day for the first time in a long long time means something. Maybe I’ll have another good day soon.

Man seeks wife by going on Ultimate dates

January 30, 2007 by Tricia

I was watching the news on Sunday evening and they did a story on a Canadian guy who’s come up with a great way to find a wife.

Allan Wills is currently living in Britain, and soon to move to Australia I believe, but he’s so serious about finding a wife that he quite his day job to pursue his desire to find a wife.

He put up a website called “Are you my Wife?” and he’s challenged interesting parties to entice him with what they think is the ultimate date. I presume that if he likes your idea he’ll take you up on it.

So far he’s gone on some pretty interesting and amazing dates in 6 different Countries. One date took place underwater where he first met his date to be in goggles and diving suit! He’s been filming his progress as he goes.

You’ve got to give him credit – this is an amazing way to meet people and to see the world while he’s at it. I mean, some of his dates have been invitations to travel to the dates country and stay with them for a week while they go out and do interesting things. So free place to stay, interesting things to do and meeting new people? Sounds good to me!

He says that the journey is as important as the destination, and hopes to have found his life mate by July 24th, 2007, which would be exactly a year from the time he began his quest.

The news story on him was about 5 minutes long so I got to take a good look at the 30 year old Wills. He seems to be fairly nice looking, and doesn’t seem strange. In fact I think he’s pretty smart for coming up with this idea in the first place.

Check his site out- especially if you are hoping to find a dream man for yourself.

Create your own avatar with the doll making game

January 30, 2007 by Tricia

Do you ever wonder how people make avatars to use for the gravatar.com photo in comments, or avatars that are used in forums, and side bars and in some cases even site headers?

It’s not all that hard really. All you need to do is go to a site such as Thedollpalace.com and click on Dress Up Games and start following the instructions to make your very on “doll” that’s dressed exactly the way you want him or her to be.

You can choose from a number of different doll types- Princess, New Emo, Fashion, Angels, Gothic, Celebrity, Halloween, Preps, mermaids, Christmas, Hippies, Thanksgiving, Shuni, Summer and Winter Fairies, Guys, Unique, Christmas and winter, Fairy, Pirates, original, Community, Emoz, Thematic, Babies, Greek Goddess, Diva, Bonita, Glamour, Goth, lolita and Silence doll types. Isn’t that an amazing number of choices that you can select from? If I’m not mistake you can even mix and match between the styles and doll types in order to create your own very unique doll.

A blogger that I know recently had an avatar contest on her site. She had people make up different avatars that she could use to represent her site, or herself on forums, and in chat groups and she recently picked a winner from all the submissions that she had. I can’t remember what her prize offering was, but it was a good one.

You could use an idea like that to get people to participate on your site. Contests are always a great idea on blogs. Anything that gets people interacting more often and visiting your site is always good.

Little girls always like dress up games and I’m sure you could amuse a child easily but setting them in front of the computer and showing them how to use the Dollpalace.com site. In fact you might be surprised at just how good they might be at creating new designs! Before you know it they’ll be hooked on Dollmaker.

Give the site a try. It’s easy to use because everything is drag and drop. It’s kind of fun too!

I’m feeling better?

January 30, 2007 by Tricia

You know what?

I just realized a couple of hours ago that ever since I got up on Monday that I’ve been feeling ok. My stomach isn’t aching and neither are my knees. I have a fever but thats about it.

This is a rare event.

I honestly can barely remember the last time I felt this good for even a few hours let alone the better part of a day. Yeah, that’s how bad my Crohn’s is.

I’m fairly sure it won’t last, but I’m going to enjoy feeling ok while I can.

To celebrate – here’s Ren and Stimpy singing Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Don’t you just love those two? I love it when the bang their behinds together.
