This weeks theme is NEW

What’s nicer than new rosebuds and the promise of the lovely roses to come?

I didn’t really have any pictures that would depict our theme NEW this week, so I thought that photos of new rose buds would work well enough. From spring into autumn I always get a little bit excited when I discover new rose buds or any kind of new flower buds in my garden. They are so pretty and fresh looking and anticipating what they will look like when they open is half the fun of discovering them.

I suppose some people will end up posting photos of new presents that they received for Christmas. Unfortunately I did not receive any presents. We just didn’t have the money to spend on gifts for ourselves or for others this year, so I’m afraid that there’s absolutely nothing new in this house this week.

Wishing all of my visitors a very Happy New Year. May all of your resolutions come true if you’ve made any.

Don’t forget to check out my special link deal! I need your help and you’ll get a link in return.

Beautiful rose buds! I especially love the yellow one… Yellow roses are my favourite ones – even though red and pink and even white ones each have their place!

    Thanks for the visit ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy New Year, my friend. Those roses are beautiful. My favorite are the kind that are lavender in color. Do you grow any of those?

I love looking for new growth in the spring.

Sorry about your “lean Christmas.” We’ve had a couple of lean ones through the years, too.

Hope you have a wonderful 2007!

I grow the Graham Thomas roses and they are beauties. I can’t wait for them to appear again next spring!

Don’t feel bad – we did have money and didn’t buy each other anything new for Christmas. We’re saving to build our dream home in Florida. We still had an enjoyable holiday just being together.

Best Wishes for a safe and happy new year!
