Do you have a tattoo?

November 14, 2006 by Tricia

I’m not all that cool I guess. I don’t have one single tattoo.

You know why? Well, it’s not because I don’t like them – I do like tattoos if they’re done tastefully. The real reason why I don’t have one yet is because I can’t decide!

I’ve looked at different tattoo patterns for a number of years. I’d really like to get a dragon tattoo on the back of my shoulder or perhaps my lower back but I can’t find one that looks anything like what I’m picturing in my head. The dragons I see are either too Asian, Gothic lizard dragons, cartoon dragons or real lizard tattoos. I want one that’s a mix of Asian, goth and real since I am after all – the dragon lady.

Of course if I ever do get a tattoo I can’t let my in-laws know. They’d freak, or at least I think they would. About the only kind of tattoo that I think they would tolerate would be one of those religious tattoos. Yes, they are extremely religious- they live across the street from a church and my mother in law works in another church in the town they live in. So yeah, a religious tattoo might fly, but nothing else that I could think of would be acceptable.

Do any of you know where I might find the kind of dragon design tattoo that I’ve been dreaming of? Huh do ya, do ya?

Oh and what kind of tattoo do you have- if you have one?

I personally don’t have tattoos, but my sister does. She has some religious tats on her arms, as well as a unicorn on her lower back, a dragon holding a crystal ball on her arm, an arm band, a sillohuette of a cat on her wrist, a unicorn, a mushroom and fairy, and a few others on her legs. She enjoys them and even persuaded my mom to get a tattoo of an angel on her thigh.

She gets her art done in Decatur and Huntsville, AL. I’m not sure which shop, but her dragon looks similar to what you are describing. Hers is a custom job.

I have a tat. It’s one of the Japanese ideograms for water and it’s on the back of my right hand.

O…k… and how do I turn off that MyBlogLog profile thing? I don’t necessarily want that link shared.

I have several tattoos. They are a collection that I have acquired over the years. Most are on my upper arms and torso. I have seen allot of bad tattoos through the years and I am proud to say that I love all of mine.
