This is an absolutely gorgeous day lily when it blooms. I tend to get at least one repeat late in the season. The first blooms were near the middle to end of July. More should be coming soon.

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

I’ve never seen this kind of color of a day lily, very unusal over here in Sweden I think. Very pretty though!

Enjoy Chicago. Love the deep rich color of this lily. I hope to plant more next year in the spring. I have one I rescued from the back yard! Very nice.

    Happy Sunday!

    Oh lovely!

You are getting alot of mileage from the day lilies this year.

I have noticed mine are hanging on longer this year too!
Just when I think they are done, I get a few more starters.

Thanks for all the comments. The day lilies have been quite nice this year – all of them. I really do like the colour of this one the best thought I think.
