Thanks Sheila. I'm always amazed by flowers and nature - in all stages. I only hope that my photos can convey that feeling to others.

Thank you Dean - you certainly expressed how I feel about this picture and the beauty of nature in a way that I couldn't!

Wow! Good Shot.

The beauty of the blossom is but one small part of the life we nurture in our gardens. The fading of the bloom is the beginning of the birth of a new flower, in the seeds we can find hope and anticipation for new and greater beauty than that which we had before.

In this image I see the embodiment of this hope. I feel you comprehend and appreciate the potential each seed contains.

What a gorgeous picture. I too love the huge variety of colors, textures, and delicate details that flowers possess.I have had a long standing interest in the history of bouquet flowers given by suitors to prospective young maidens in days gone by. Photos of flowers at varying growth stages truly helps me appreciate the fine details of natures gifts that might have been missed.

Yes, it is beautiful, but also, in some way, really sad. Beauty in death. Don't know, maybe is there a message of trascendental hope in your flowers?
