I open up a few of my sites automatically when I start up Firefox. What you need to do is add all the urls to your homepage setting.

Go to TOOLS -> Options –> Main and in the homepage section type in the urls that you want to open at startup leaving a space between the urls.

It slows the load time (quite a bit!) so I wouldn’t add too many urls. Even two urls there can slow the load down substantially. I actually only open up two of my sites at start up. I usually hit the Firefox icon and then walk away to go and make a coffee or something.

Nita I finally got Linky to work, but thanks for your response. I didn’t know you could hold ctrl and click a link and that it would open in a new tab, so I learned a new trick.

Karen I got it to work. Mine was just grey in the addon area. I tried uninstalling it. Restarted Firefox and then reinstalled (i did have the latest version previously but it didn’t work) and ta da! it worked again.

If it hadn’t been for several of you telling me that Linky was working in Firefox 3 I’d still be without my handy little tool. Thanks!

Bonnie thanks for that tip. I downloaded the software and I’ll try it out sometime this week when I have time to do some updates. I do try to keep all of my installations up to date, but I’m sure there are a few older versions of some software on the computer.

Brad yes I had that version of Linky. I got mine working after uninstalling. Something must have gotten corrupted or something.

Jennifer yes I did search for a Linky upgrade but I had the latest version. I finally uninstalled and then reinstalled and it’s now working! I’ve gone so many months without it. I’m happy I can use it again.

Kathy I use the Entrecard toolbar as well and I love it for when I’m trying to visit Entrecard sites, but I run several large blogrolls and Linky makes it so much easier for me to check sites on my lists. I got it working with Firefox 3 now too, so I’m happy.
