I love the last photo best….like the rain is falling yet not making it all the way to the ground. Stunning.

My beautiful bride photo is posted for this week. Happy Saturday to you. Stop by my blog if you have time….

Those are beautiful shots. I think the first is my favorite. I hate when wires mess up my shot, too. :(

Vicki (1 comments.) said in August 30th, 2008 at 8:57 am

I think you’re right. That may be one of the most beautiful sunsets of all time.

Don’t you wish we could live without all those wires between us and the sky? Still, they add a nice graphic quality to that last shot.

Great entry!
Vicki

The red sky is really perfect. Great photos. The nature is really beautiful!

It is a shame about the wires – we have poles that get in the way though as the estate is new wires are underground.
They are good enough for SkyWatch.
Over at SW is a regular participant called Gary who goes under the name of Bodge – you might find his site of interest.

That is such a beautiful sunset! The cables get in the way most places these days – we just have to put up with it, I’m afraid.

Hey Tricia.. I can see a running red fox in the first photo… haha :P That shows I have wild imaginations all the time :P

That is a really beautiful sunset! I like all the pretty colors.

There are frequently things in the way of my sky shots too. From our house, we’re lucky if we can see any sunset at all. Usually we just get teasing glimpses.

Your descriptions of the bits that grabbed you are as vital and alive as the images of the sunset itself.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind comment.

Tricia,
You hit it. I think your photo is in my dictionary as the definition of “beautiful.” Thanks for stopping and commenting on Roxy’s Best Of… Drop me a note with the names of a couple of towns/regions in Canada and I’ll whip you up a Roxy blog or two or three. Absolutely no pressure…I’ll introduce you as our host and then anytime you feel like posting (if you’ve gone out to dinner in a great restaurant, captured a perfect sunset, or found a veterinarian who is good with reptiles), just do it. We’re in the midst of a nice long Labor Day Weekend here in the states, and it couldn’t be better.
Enjoy!
Roxy

Yep, that’s a nice one all right. We saw a couple gorgeous sunrises this summer in Nova Scotia, literally the sun sinking into the sea!

Great pictures, it’s a shame that you couldn’t get higher to get a clear shot. Maybe next time! ;-)

Great capture,…………….. love sunsets and sunrises, although most times the true colors just don’t come out right. Great photos.
