I ended up wrapped the legs with newspaper soaked in hot sauce. I also found an old table leg and mounted in so she could gnaw on that. That seemed to help... Hugo has gone through stages like that too, where he's terribly destructive and nothing seems to stop him... he chewed a big hole in the carpet on the stairs - now he's not interested in it. He's being a little angel right now.... but I'm sure that will change - again. Midnight is turning into a real beauty - her coat is very glossy. What do you feed her? Well, I guess as long as she leaves your shoes alone you can probably forgive her nearly anything!
