I agree it's time to get a snow blower or hire that teenager down the street from now on to clear that snow. I don't have fused vertebrae but man my back kills me every morning cause my mattress is just old. Till I get a new one, I take advil and then a really hot shower to relax the muscles then try to pop my back into place. Usually that does the trick. Good grief I hope you’re feeling better now. My back can't handle this! Luckily we don't have a lot of snow most winters. It snows and then it melts away. If we had to spend any time shoveling we often grumble and regret it because it's usually gone so fast - but not this year! 17 more cm and we'll be over the record winter snowfall for the city.
