I worked with a nurse for several years that had Crohn’s disease. She was the same way. She couldn’t ever predict when she’d start feeling bad. It just hit her when it felt like hitting her and usually like a ton of bricks. I hope you start feeling better soon and are able to get a little more active without suffering the setbacks. Thanks for stopping by and commenting over at my place :)

I’m sorry hon. That really sucks. You can have some of mine, I hardly use ‘em!

Hope over the pain soon. I’ve started the year with overdrive brains and had to take pills to calm down. I’m so happy to feel better now but I wasn’t able to do anything intellectual for a month – in my case that would be blogging.

Sorry about that pain. Fortunately you dog likes that vacuum!

I am sorry you are having such a horrible time of it. Sending lots of feel better vibes. LOL at the dog liking to be vacuumed though, Gizmo would freak out and try to eat it.

My brother has Crohns and there’s a good chance that I have it too. If you live by a whole foods store, pick up a gallon of distilled aloe juice. It tastes just like water, I promise, and has been proven to calm down the stomach/intestines during a flare up. My brother takes a shot everyday (and me too!). It really works. I hope you feel better soon!

Hello,
I am so sorry to hear you are going through this.

I’ve been doing a LOT of research on Crohn’s and other digestive disorders for my site, and I just read from 2 different women that their Crohn’s ebbed and flowed (if you’ll pardon the pun) with their menstrual cycle. I don’t know if that’s something that might be worth tracking, so you could have a better handle on your scheduling activities? Seems off the wall, sure, but stranger things have happened…

FYI – my latest article might be of some help to you:

Best of luck in getting this under control. Try to keep your chin up!
