Usually the sidebars would load first and then it would hang for a good ten seconds or so...now the header comes up, the sidebars roll down and the content rolls right in after that, almost like it's "flowing" in! You should shoot for something that loads in under 3 seconds, 1-2 if you really want to turn on first visitors (especially those on dial-up). You could consider an ad rotation script and cut back on the number of items in your side bar. That might help a little.
