I didn't believe them because my site was still loading quickly, etc. I have bloglog and blogcatalog and neither seem to be causing a problem on my site, though they do sometimes make the page load a little slower which is kind of annoying. I switched some of my sites (my blogs) to midphase.com they have been good for my Wordpress sites (much better than previously). Support is responsive too. And the price is great. Frankly I would gladly pay double, triple... for the peace of mind they would stay as good. My main concern is I have had hosts that were good for years then slowly get worse and worse so I still like having at least 2 hosts (I have 3 now). I think that is a good idea - that is what I do.
