(i HAD to find the source of the extra kneecap!) having just minorly clobbered my left knee (again), i can very much sympathize! knee injuries are NEVER any fun at all. mine is minorly bruised and minorly swollen and i could barely stand to put any ice on it at all, so i'm sure you're about ready to just hack the thing off and have done with it. wonderful story-telling.
